About YOC

YOC stands for "Your Opinion Counts" and was founded by Dirk Kraus in 2001 with a spectacular campaign called "Cash or Crash".  Around 80,000 mobile phone users decided by text message whether a Porsche 911, which had been hanging from a crane at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin for days, was going to crash to the ground or given away in a prize draw. YOC was one of the first providers of mobile advertising in Germany, which at this time consisted mainly of text message competitions. Coca-Cola and Pepsi were some of YOCs first customers. In 2004 one of the first MMS campaigns in Germany was implemented on behalf of the sports clothing manufacturer Nike. For the event series "Panna K.O.", 25,000 football-loving community members were invited to watch the football fun-events. In the following years YOC developed into a market leader for mobile advertising and expanded throughout Europe. Today YOC has offices in the five leading European markets with over 70 employees.

Awards

Over the course of its history YOC has been nominated many times for awards and been selected as the winner for awards such as the New Media Award, the POS Marketing Award and the German Unternehmerpreis (Entrepreneur Award). In 2012 YOC was rewarded with the renowned Cannes Mobile Lions Gold Award for the "Mystery Ad". Since then the Mystery Ad has become an established advertising format.
